Live like me or you are doing it wrong!
I was browsing Facebook today, and I saw this marvelous quote from one of the admins of a Norwegian group for people who live or travel a lot to Thailand.
A new cold month in Norway before we can see more light and warmth? In March, we can finally enjoy fresh cod, liver, and roe.
In Thailand, we are in the high season with good temperatures and little rain. But what are our long-term residents up to besides being housewives, baking bread, and chasing so-called Norwegian goods in stores?
Is there really nothing more exciting to do in Thailand?

And this kind of stuff absolutely grinds my gears. This implication that people who enjoy their relaxing and calm life here in Thailand are just Living Life Wrong.
They're not though. Not at all.
It's just a matter of personal preference, and that is a great thing. We don't have to like the same in this great big old world we live in. But we also don't need to shame people for not living like you choose to. That's just childish and weird.
Some might even want to live a different life, but health and finances get in the way. We may be living in a lower-cost country than Norway, but that does not mean all of us can live like Kings and Queens.
Let people have their peace, quiet, comfort, and Norwegian food.
You can go out and have adventures and excitement if you want. Invite others if you want, maybe some will join.
Personally though, I could almost kill for some Norvegia cheese these days.
But... To sum it all up...
Don't be such a busybody.
